Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose powder coating over traditional paint?
Powder coating is tougher, more resistant to chipping, scratching, and fading, and it’s also more eco-friendly since it contains no harmful solvents.
What materials can be powder coated?
Mostly metals such as steel, aluminum, and iron. Specialized processes also allow some heat-resistant plastics and MDF (medium-density fiberboard) to be coated.
Can powder coating be done in any color?
Yes! Powder coating comes in thousands of colors, finishes (matte, gloss, metallic, textured), and even custom matches.
Can previously painted parts be powder coated?
Yes, but the old finish must be removed first, usually by sandblasting or chemical stripping.
Does powder coating protect against rust?
Yes. Powder coating creates a barrier that resists moisture, chemicals, and corrosion.
What’s the turnaround time for powder coating?
It depends on the size and complexity of the job—small projects may be completed in a few days, while larger or custom jobs may take a week or more. If the part absolutely needs done at a certain time we can arranged a rush service.
